“The Veterans” Documentary 52’ / Production

Synopsis:
WWII brought huge disaster to the world and changed the way of life for millions of people. The Kasapis brothers, twins originated from a small Cyprus village, decided to leave the safety of their parents home and at age of 17 to join the British forces against the Nazis. This is their story of their 5 and half years of service along with the thousands of Cypriots volunteers.

«Rooted Stones», Documentary 52’ / Pre production
Synopsis:
It’s a story of an island and its secrets and a mystery connected with the so called Rooted Stones and the people stories touched in a particular way by these monoliths. It is in a research gathering and show the magic that connects ancient times with the simple human life, emotions and memories. Each of these elements is a story itself, a story that the documentary aim to reveal. The guides are locals, each one of them with his particular story and version for the stones. “A stone of miracle” says one “If a woman can’t have a baby she should pass through the hole and will be healed”, “a mark for hidden treasure” says other “when the sun light pass through the hole and point to the caves in the mountain opposite” old people’ stories from childhood in which you feel the warmth and coziness of the past.

«Black Tulips», Feature 90’ / Script
Synopsis:
The missing persons of Cyprus is a story goes back to early 60s. For almost 15 years people from both communities of Cyprus vanished and till today nobody knows what happened to them. The culmination was the war of 1974 and the atrocities by the Turkish army against civilians and captive soldiers. This movie is a political thriller, a testimonial about the dirty political games, the people took advantage of the pain of the relatives and the courage necessary for catharsis.
